Who is the owner of the villa – leasehold or freehold?

There are two primary avenues for foreigners to acquire property in Indonesia: Leasehold: Securing land with full rights for a specified period, ideal for foreign investors due to lower capital requirements and extension flexibility. Offers potential tax benefits. Initial term typically 30 years, extendable for another 30 and 20 years. Freehold: Acquiring land through a local company for perpetual ownership.

Is it possible for me to re-sell my villa when I want?
